Wet and windy, and so we are staying put for another day. Shopping in Tesco and M&S is the mornings activity.

This afternoon in Oban |
Fortunately the weather improved in the afternoon which allowed an exploration of McCaig’s Tower, immediately above the centre of the town. Built in 1897 by local banker John Stuart McCaig, the purpose was to provide work for local stonemasons and a lasting monument to the McCaig family. Pretty good views from up there.

On the way down from the Tower we came across Oban’s answer to Gaudi in Barcelona:

The marina also had a small invasion of jellyfish this afternoon, mostly moon jellyfish, but also one lion’s mane jellyfish.
